 I’m Tharsini Mahendrakumar, a photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty in everyday moments. I first picked up a camera in my teens, and that sparked my journey into the world of photography and storytelling. Born in the UK, I have a strong connection to my Tamil background, which continues to shape my perspective and creative approach. My love for art led me to study Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, where I honed my skills and learned how powerful photography can be in telling a story.

What I love most about photography is the ability to capture candid moments, those genuine, unplanned expressions and emotions that happen in the blink of an eye. Whether it’s a portrait, an event, or a quiet moment in everyday life, I focus on those real, authentic instances that often get missed.  Now based in London and South England, I travel often for both studio and location work. I’m always inspired by the people and environments around me, and I look for stories in the simplest of moments. My work explores themes of emotion, connection, and identity, but always with a focus on what’s real and relatable.
